Basic Life Support Training: International College of Dentistry Prepares for Emergency Patient Care.
2 April 2026, The International College of Dentistry, Walailak University (WUICD), has taken a proactive step in enhancing safety standards by organizing the “Basic Life Support (BLS)” training program. The initiative is designed to empower faculty, staff, and students with the essential skills required to respond to medical emergencies accurately and promptly.
The workshop was honored to have a team of medical experts from Rajavithi Hospital as guest speakers. The session provided both theoretical insights and intensive hands-on training at the International College of Dentistry, covering critical life-saving procedures including:
Emergency Scene and Patient Assessment: Recognizing and evaluating critical situations.
Standardized CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation): Proper techniques for effective resuscitation.
AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Operation: Safe and effective use of automated defibrillators.
This program is a key component of the College’s policy that prioritizes patient welfare and safety above all. The primary goal is to ensure that all participants can confidently apply these life-saving skills to assist patients, colleagues, or the general public in emergencies. By fostering a high level of preparedness, the College aims to minimize risks and reinforce the trust of those visiting the University’s dental facilities.
