WUICD Hosts The 8th Executive Board Meeting of the Dental Deans Consortium of Thailand 2026
On Monday, September 14, 2026, the International College of Dentistry, Walailak University (WUICD), had the honor of hosting the 8th Executive Board Meeting of the Dental Deans Consortium of Thailand (DDCT). The meeting took place in a hybrid format at the Naiwiphas Conference Room on the 19th floor of the SM Tower (Bangkok), alongside an online session via Zoom.
This high-level meeting served as a crucial platform for academic leaders to discuss, align strategic directions, and drive policies aimed at elevating the standards of dental education and workforce development in Thailand toward sustainable progress.
A highlight of the event was a special keynote lecture entitled “Transforming Research into Global Impact: The Journey to the Times Higher Education Rankings,” delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siwarit Pongsakornrungsilp, Vice President for Research and Innovation at Walailak University.
Hosting this meeting marks another significant milestone for the dental community, underscoring a shared commitment to advancing dental knowledge while instilling professional ethics and social responsibility for the benefit of Thai society.
